Michael Landart, the founder

MACA was founded in 2016 by Michael Landart, a recognized figure in the cocktail world and a passionate advocate of cane spirits. Former owner of the famous cocktail bar Maria Loca—a true Parisian institution—he has developed, since 2016, deep expertise in rums. From 2012 to 2025, Maria Loca established itself as a reference point for enthusiasts and professionals alike, thanks to a committed, creative cocktail list centered on the diversity of terroirs. It is this experience, this network of producers, and this vision of taste that Michael now brings to life through MACA Spirits.
